Let’s make CBC’s door-to-door garbage collection a success
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has further streamlined its door-to-door garbage collection initiative, covering over 23,000 residential units across its jurisdiction, to discourage littering and illegal dumping in open plots.
Trained solid waste management staff, supported by more than 50 compactors and tailor-made trucks, have been deployed to ensure safe and efficient collection directly from residents’ doorsteps. This move aligns with the directives of CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, aimed at maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing a clean, pleasant environment for all residents.
Garbage is being collected from residential units on alternate days, according to the schedule for each area. Residents are urged to actively cooperate by ensuring the handing over of polycarts or garbage bins to the solid waste management staff as per their area’s collection schedule.
For prompt resolution of any issues, residents may lodge complaints through the CBCARE application. Together, we can make this initiative a resounding success and keep our neighborhoods clean and hygienic.
