CBC kicks off reconstruction of Khayaban-e-Shamsheer
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has started the reconstruction of Khayaban-e-Shamsheer as part of its ongoing road infrastructure development project.
Milling work on the existing road surface has already begun, following which a layer of crushed stones will be laid, and then the carpeting of the road will commence.
To ensure the durability of the road, two layers of asphalt will be laid, technically known as the Base Course and Wearing Course. The project will be completed at the earliest while maintaining high standards of construction quality.
In addition to road carpeting, the project includes lane marking, construction of footpaths, plantation in green belts, road beautification and other modern infrastructure development measures.
Earlier CBC completed the reconstruction of several major roads, including Khayaban-e-Hilal, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, Khayaban-e-Badban, Khayaban-e-Sehar, Khayaban-e-Badar, Khayaban-e-Shahbaz, Khayaban-e-Shaheen, Saba Avenue, Khayaban-e-Ghazi and other important roads.
In the first phase, work was completed on five major thoroughfares, including Khayaban-e-Bahria, Khayaban-e-Shujaat, 26th Street, Khayaban-e-Ittehad and Commercial Avenue.
Under the leadership of CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, special emphasis is being placed on maintaining high standards of construction, timely completion of the road development projects and ensuring convenience for residents.
Residents have widely appreciated the construction of modern roads and infrastructure in Clifton Cantonment.
