The Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has identified 125 buildings as structurally unsafe following a comprehensive inspection across its jurisdiction. The action comes as part of CBC’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and prevent potential structural hazards.
According to the CBC’s survey report, 51 buildings in Delhi Colony, 16 in Madni Abad, and 7 in Lower Gizri have been declared unsafe. Several additional buildings in Punjab Colony, Chaudhary Khaliq-uz-Zaman Colony, and Bakshan Village were also found to be in a dangerous condition.
Chief Executive Officer CBC Mr. Muhammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik personally visited several of these high-risk structures to assess their condition and direct immediate safety measures.
The CBC has urged residents of all identified buildings to vacate the premises immediately to avoid any potential accidents.
A CBC spokesperson emphasized that the Cantonment Board Clifton will not be responsible for any untoward incident occurring in these buildings, as the occupants have already been formally notified and advised to evacuate.
