KCCI’s former office bearer Nasir Riaz praises ‘unprecedented’ road works in Clifton Cantonment
The ongoing road reconstruction initiative by the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) continues to receive widespread appreciation from residents of Clifton Cantonment.
Nasir Riaz Aanwel, former member of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (KCCI) Management Committee and Chairman of the Communication Sub-Committee for 2022–23, visited the under-construction road sites along with CBC Vice President Mohammad Najeeb Wali, Secretary Sajjad Nazir, and Chief Engineer Abdul Rahim Sheikh. He highly praised the quality of the work.
Nasir Riaz expressed his pleasure at witnessing the high-quality road construction, noting that he had never seen development work in DHA on such a large scale and at this level of quality. He particularly appreciated that sewerage, gas and water supply lines were upgraded before road reconstruction.
He also commended the use of double-layer carpeting on the roads, designed to withstand the movement of water tankers and other heavy traffic, which will significantly enhance their longevity. He added that the road construction will help save time for commuters and reduce accidents.
Following the directives of CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, the roadworks are being carried out with strict attention to quality, timely completion and minimal inconvenience to residents.
