CBC completes carpeting of Khayaban-e-Shaheen
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has completed the carpeting of Khayaban-e-Shaheen as well following the completion of carpeting on Khayaban-e-Shahbaz a few days ago.
While the reconstruction of various other major roads of DHA is underway at an accelerated pace and is expected to be completed soon. The roads where the final layer of carpeting—also known as the wearing course— is being laid include Saba Avenue, Khayaban-e-Badar, Khayaban-e-Sehar, Khayaban-e-Badban, Khayaban-e-Hilal, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz and Khayaban-e-Ghazi.
As in the first phase, under CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik’s leadership, in this phase too the quality of work, its timely completion and that residents do not face any inconvenience is being ensured.
This road infrastructure initiative goes beyond carpeting. It also includes reconstruction of footpaths, tree plantation along greenbelts, road renovation and beautification, lane marking and other modern road-building measures.
In the first phase, five roads in DHA—Khayaban-e-Bahria, Khayaban-e-Shujaat, Khayaban-e-Ittehad, 26th Street and Commercial Avenue—were successfully reconstructed.
The construction of high-quality roads has been widely appreciated by the residents of Clifton Cantonment.
