CBC team inspects food outlets in Clifton Block-9, Shahbaz Commercial, Khadda Market
Cantonment Board Clifton’s (CBC) food inspection team checked the quality of food and hygienic conditions at restaurants, meat and vegetable shops and other outlets selling food items and beverages in Clifton Block-9 and DHA’s Shahbaz Commercial and Khadda Market areas.
The team imposed fines over the violation of Cantonment Pure Food Act and issued warnings after poor hygienic conditions were observed on multiple premises. The team also discarded expired food items on the spot.
During the inspection, some outlets were found operating without a valid food trade license from the CBC. Food handlers were also working without medical certificates. The owners of those outlets were directed to obtain medical certificates for all food handlers and complete licensing requirements.
All the outlets were instructed to strictly comply with SOPs under the Cantonment Pure Food Act, 1966.
CBC is actively working under the guidance of its CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik to ensure that food outlets in Clifton Cantonment strictly comply with the rules and regulations and ensure quality of food items and maintain hygienic conditions on their premises.
