Anjum Nisar says construction of modern roads helped reduce traffic congestion
Former president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Anjum Nisar has termed the ongoing road reconstruction work by the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) a welcome step.
He noted that the construction of roads on modern lines has helped manage traffic congestion, reducing travel time significantly. During his visit to the under-construction roads, he said DHA residents and visitors are witnessing a visible change after the renovation of roads.
He recalled that the dilapidated condition of roads in the past used to cause traffic pressure and accidents. CBC Vice President Muhammad Najeeb Wali, Secretary Sajjad Nazir and Chief Engineer Abdul Rahim Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
Anjum Nisar said that in the past examples of other cities’ roads were quoted, but now high-standard roads are being built in the Clifton Cantonment. Besides this, footpaths are being renovated and greenery is also increasing, which is a truly pleasant change.
He said that the residents of DHA truly appreciate this infrastructure development initiative from the depth of their hearts. He thanked CBC staff and management, especially CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik as well as Vice President Muhammad Najeeb Wali, for their development efforts.
