CBC urges residents to take precautionary measures during rains
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has appealed to the Clifton Cantonment residents to take all necessary precautionary measures during heavy rains and gusty winds in order to prevent any untoward incident.
As the metropolis continue to receive intermittent rain since this morning, CBC has urged the residents to stay away from electricity poles, PMTs, open manholes and other hazardous places for their safety, and also do not let children play outside during rain and gusty winds. They have also been advised to keep their pets at safe places and do not tie them with an electric pole, and also do not keep them in an open space.
Besides, the residents have also been requested to avoid parking their vehicles under dilapidated walls, trees and electric poles.
CBC has also advised the residents to move solar plates, antennas, flowerpots or any other thing which may blow away in gusty winds to safer places or tie them down firmly to prevent any life and property loss.
Residents can approach the head of their area’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) for any rain-related complaints. Complaints can also be lodged through CBC’s Virtual Office (24/7) and the CBCare app. In case of any suggestions or concerns that remain unaddressed through these channels, residents may WhatsApp the CBC CEO at 0314-1119150.
A rain emergency is in place at CBC, and its staff, under the leadership and guidance of CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, are on alert to ensure quick drainage of rainwater and prompt action on residents’ complaints.
