CBC team inspects food outlets in Delhi Colony
The Cantonment Board Clifton’s (CBC) Food Inspection Team conducted an inspection of food outlets in Delhi Colony, imposing fines and issuing warnings for violations of the Cantonment Pure Food Act.
During the inspection, the team checked the hygiene conditions of food items and utensils. Poor hygiene standards were observed at several premises, and expired food items were found and discarded on the spot.
Some outlets were found operating without a valid CBC food trade licence, while food handlers were working without the required medical certificates.
The owners were directed to obtain medical certificates for all food handlers and complete the necessary licensing requirements. Fines were imposed on five outlets, and warnings were issued for violations of the Cantonment Pure Food Act.
All inspected outlets were instructed to strictly comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) prescribed under the Cantonment Pure Food Act, 1966.
