Acting on the special directives of Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, CEO Cantonment Board Clifton, the Food Control Team has intensified its inspection activities across the cantonment area to ensure the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
During a comprehensive inspection campaign in the Ittehad Commercial Area, Phase VI, the team visited various food outlets to assess compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation protocols. The operation aimed to ensure that residents are provided with safe, hygienic, and high-quality food within CBC’s jurisdiction.
The inspection included a detailed review of food preparation areas, utensils, and storage facilities to verify adherence to cleanliness and hygiene requirements. Substandard and unsafe food items were disposed of on the spot, while warnings were issued to outlets found in violation of health standards.
Furthermore, the team emphasized that strict action will be taken against unlicensed food establishments. All food business operators were instructed to ensure that their staff possess valid medical certificates, which are mandatory for the issuance or renewal of food and trade licenses.
Businesses found violating CBC’s public health and safety directives will face fines and legal action.
The CBC administration urges all food operators to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, obtain proper licenses, and fully cooperate with inspection teams to avoid disciplinary measures.
