Residents of Clifton Cantonment attended a “Khuli Kacheri” held at the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) office regarding water supply.
The meeting was chaired by CBC Secretary Sajjad Nazir, who listened to the residents’ concerns and assured them that effective measures were being taken to further improve the tanker supply system and ensure an adequate supply of water.
A delegation of residents, led by Clifton Defence Community (CDC) President Abdul Rehman, participated in the meeting. Other CDC office-bearers and the CBC Chief Engineer were also present.
The CBC Secretary issued on-the-spot instructions for the immediate provision of water tankers to residents whose tokens were pending.
The meeting was informed that the current water shortage was causing delays in tanker supplies. Residents were also informed that work on a new water pipeline had commenced and its completion would significantly improve water supply in Clifton Cantonment. The CDC welcomed the measures being taken by CBC.
