CBC urges residents to use water carefully in view of possible water supply disruption
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has urged the residents of Clifton Cantonment to use water carefully in view of the possibility of disruption in water supply in the city.
According to media reports, three water supply lines burst on Monday following an abrupt power breakdown at the Dhabeji Pumping Station. However, a spokesperson for the Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) stated that repair work on the damaged lines was immediately started to restore normal water supply as soon as possible.
The KW&SC spokesperson said that a major power breakdown suddenly occurred at the second phase of the Dhabeji Pumping Station, which led to the bursting of two PRCC lines and one MS line due to back pressure.
According to the spokesperson, one of the damaged lines is expected to be repaired by Tuesday (today), and water supply from it is likely to be restored by the evening.
