Newly reconstructed arterial roads witness smooth traffic flow
Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik’s untiring efforts have borne fruit. The arterial roads, prioritised for reconstruction under the infrastructure development initiative, are now fully operational, ensuring smooth traffic movement.
In the first phase, the roads with high traffic volumes were included. During reconstruction, the quality of work was closely monitored at every stage, while minimising inconvenience to residents. The roads in this phase included Khayaban-e-Bahria, Khayaban-e-Shujaat, 26th Street, Khayaban-e-Ittehad, and Commercial Avenue.
The high quality and timely completion of work on these key thoroughfares testify to CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik’s proactive approach in providing state-of-the-art civic facilities to Clifton Cantonment residents.
Under this initiative, work on 15 major roads is ongoing in the second and third phases. This phase goes beyond simple resurfacing; it includes reconstruction of footpaths, lane marking, installation of street lights, and renovation and beautification of medians and greenbelts, all in line with modern road construction techniques.
The roads where work is currently underway include Khayaban-e-Shahbaz, Khayaban-e-Shaheen, Khayaban-e-Sehar, Khayaban-e-Badar, Khayaban-e-Hilal, Khayaban-e-Badban, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, Saba Avenue, Khayaban-e-Ghazi, Khayaban-e-Muslim, Khayaban-e-Mujahid and Khayaban-e-Shamsher.
Residents are praising the high-quality reconstruction and renovation of roads, which is now enabling smooth traffic flow.
