CBC’s first phase of road development work enters final stages
The first phase of reconstruction and renovation work of various main roads in Defence, launched under the guidance of Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, has now entered its final stages, as lane marking, footpath paving, and beautification work have commenced following the carpeting of roads.
The first phase included the reconstruction of five major roads — Khayaban-e-Bahria, Khayaban-e-Shujaat, 26th Street, Khayaban-e-Ittehad, and Commercial Avenue — along with several smaller roads.
Modern machinery was deployed for the road reconstruction. Now, following the carpeting, lane marking, footpath paving, and road beautification work is progressing at an accelerated pace. The construction of highly durable, slip-resistant, and eco-friendly footpaths is being ensured.
CBC engineers and staff are working round the clock to maintain high quality and ensure timely completion of the road projects.
It is expected that the reconstruction of main roads in Clifton and Defence will further improve traffic flow and provide greater convenience for both motorists and pedestrians. CBC’s efforts in road development are being highly appreciated by local residents.
Meanwhile, during a visit to the road development site, Defence Residents Society’s Patron-in-Chief, Junaid Aftab, lauded CBC leadership, particularly CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, for the uplift initiatives. He highly praised the quality of the carpeting work and appreciated CBC’s cooperation with residents.
