Key road’s carpeting gets underway

CBC kicks off carpeting work on Khayaban-e-Bukhari

Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has started carpeting work on Khayaban-e-Bukhari as part of its ongoing road infrastructure development project.
The work is expected to be completed soon. Reconstruction of this key road will further improve traffic flow. The initial asphalt layer on Khayaban-e-Bukhari, technically known as the base course, has been laid. Once this stage is completed, work will begin on the final wearing course.
The remaining sections requiring road milling will also be completed as quickly as possible.
In addition to road carpeting, the project includes lane marking, construction of footpaths, plantation in green belts, road beautification and other modern infrastructure improvements.
CBC has completed the reconstruction of many major roads, including Khayaban-e-Hilal, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, Khayaban-e-Badban, Khayaban-e-Sehar, Khayaban-e-Badar, Khayaban-e-Shahbaz, Khayaban-e-Shaheen, Saba Avenue, Khayaban-e-Ghazi and other important thoroughfares.
During the first phase of the project, work was completed on five major roads including Khayaban-e-Bahria, Khayaban-e-Shujaat, 26th Street, Khayaban-e-Ittehad and Commercial Avenue.
Under the leadership of CBC CEO Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, the road development project is being carried out with a strong emphasis on high construction standards, timely completion and the convenience of residents.
Residents are widely appreciating the construction of modern road infrastructure across the Clifton Cantonment.
